Our fries are hand-cut daily, seasoned to perfection, and make the perfect accompaniment to any of our gourmet burgers, chicken sandwiches, or homemade black bean burgers. From their web site: Micky’s Irish Pub opened its doors some 30-plus years ago with the idea to give Iowa City a small, comfortable and cozy place to share good food, good drink and good company at very reasonable prices. We’ve continued that tradition over the years without a whole lot of changes. Our menu has expanded but we still maintain an emphasis on fresh food prepared per-order.

John’s Grocery Deli Breweriana and Wine

From their web site: John’s Grocery Inc. is a marriage of the traditional corner grocery store and epicurean oasis. The building John’s Grocery is located in was built in 1848 to serve as a small dry goods store in the then five year-old frontier town of Iowa City.

We strive to make our food fresh and from scratch. This effort has lead us to cure, smoke, and oven-roast our own nitrate-free meats. We bake fresh pastries and fresh bread every day.
